Quick answer

To get into a Dubai club you must be 21 or over and carry your original passport or Emirates ID. Dress smart casual, arrive before 1 AM and book a guestlist spot or a table. Ladies often get free entry before 1 AM; gents usually pay an entry fee with drinks or book a table.

Getting into a club in Dubai is easy once you know the rules: be 21 or over, carry your original ID, dress the part and come with a guestlist spot or a table. Here is how entry works at Dubai’s clubs, rooftops and beach clubs, what groups of guys should know, and the local rules to keep in mind on a night out. You can see who is open tonight on Tonight in Dubai.

What is the legal drinking age in Dubai?

The legal age for buying and drinking alcohol in Dubai is 21, according to the UK government’s travel advice for the UAE. Nightclubs are 21+ and the door checks ID: BLU Dubai is strictly 21+ with no exceptions, and every partner club on our site, from PAPA Dubai to The Mansion, sets the same age limit. Daytime pool clubs can be different: The Social Pool at FIVE Palm Jumeirah welcomes children over 6.

What ID do you need to get into a Dubai club?

Bring your original passport, or your Emirates ID if you live in the UAE. Venues ask for a valid physical ID, so a photo of your passport on your phone is not something to rely on:

  • BLU Dubai: strictly 21+ with a valid physical ID, no exceptions.

  • The Myth: a valid physical ID is required.

  • The Mansion: all guests must be 21 or over, with ID for proof of age.

  • Pacha ICONS: events are 21+ with valid ID.

Keep it with you all night, and check that it hasn’t expired before you travel.

How does a guestlist work in Dubai?

A guestlist spot puts your name on the door list for one night. It gets you in, often with free entry for ladies and sometimes free drinks, but it is not a table. Here is how it works with us:

  • Open Tonight or all upcoming events, pick the night and tap Book now.

  • Choose the guestlist option, where the night has one, or a table, then add your group and your WhatsApp number.

  • We check availability with the venue, and a host confirms on WhatsApp.

  • There are no booking fees: you pay the venue on the night.

Free entry on the guestlist usually ends at 1 AM. At PAPA Dubai, ladies get free entry with complimentary house drinks until 1 AM on most nights. At The Myth, ladies enter free with 3 house drinks until 1 AM. At The Mansion in JVC, ladies enter free before 1 AM, and at BLU Dubai ladies can often get in for free on our guestlist. For every free-entry deal by night, see our ladies nights guide and this week’s ladies nights.

Some venues don’t run guestlists at all. Pacha ICONS is ticketed, so entry is by ticket only: find those nights on tickets or read our Pacha ICONS guide.

Can a group of guys get into Dubai clubs?

Yes. Gents usually pay an entry fee that includes drinks, or book a table. These are the current prices at our partner venues; they change by night and for live shows, and each event page shows the price for that night:

  • PAPA Dubai: gents pay AED 100–150 including one house drink, depending on the night.

  • The Myth: gents pay AED 150 with one house drink.

  • The Mansion: on most nights gents pay AED 200 including entry and three drinks.

  • The Penthouse: bar entry is free until 10 PM; after that gents pay from AED 200 including one drink, and ladies get complimentary bar entry on most nights.

  • BLING: bar entry is AED 300 per person including three drinks, subject to availability.

  • Playa Pacha: gents enter free on Monday, Tuesday and Thursday; from Friday to Sunday it’s AED 300 for the pool, fully redeemable on food and drinks, or from AED 200 for the beach.

Some venues are stricter: Raspoutine confirms reservations for mixed-gender groups only. For a group of guys on a weekend, a table is the surest way in, and you get a place to sit all night.

Do you need a table to get in?

No. Most clubs let you in on the guestlist or with an entry fee. A table guarantees entry on busy nights, and it works as a minimum spend: the amount your group spends on drinks and food that night, not a fee on top. Small tables start from AED 1,000 at BLU Dubai and from AED 1,000 Monday to Wednesday at PAPA Dubai, a cocktail table for four at BLING is AED 1,000, and cocktail tables at The Mansion are AED 1,500. Read table bookings in Dubai, explained before you book.

What should you wear?

Most Dubai clubs ask for smart or smart casual. Sportswear, flip-flops, shorts for men and caps are the most common reasons people get turned away, and the door team has the final say. Each venue sets its own rules: BLU Dubai is streetwear or casual chic but turns away flip-flops, beachwear, kanduras, scarves and face coverings, while beach clubs like Playa Pacha are casual or beachwear. Our Dubai dress code guide has the full list.

What time should you arrive?

Most club nights start between 9 and 11 PM: The Mansion at 9 PM, BLU Dubai, BLING and The Penthouse at 10 PM, and PAPA Dubai and The Myth at 11 PM. Arrive before 1 AM if you’re on a ladies’ guestlist, because free entry at PAPA Dubai, The Myth and The Mansion ends at 1 AM. BLU Dubai fills up fast, so arrive early on big nights. For daytime parties, beach access at Bohemia opens at 11 AM.

Rules to know before a night out in Dubai

Dubai’s nightlife is relaxed inside licensed venues, but the law outside them is strict. These rules come from the UK government’s travel advice for the UAE:

  • Drink only in licensed venues, such as hotels, restaurants and clubs.

  • No drinking in public. It is illegal to drink or be under the influence of alcohol in a public place anywhere in the UAE.

  • Never drink and drive, no matter how small the amount. Take a taxi home.

  • Ask before you take photos of people. Photographing people without their permission is not allowed.

  • Keep affection private. Showing affection in public is frowned upon, and you can be arrested for kissing in public.

  • Mind your language. Swearing and rude gestures are illegal, including online.

  • Zero tolerance for drugs. Some herbal highs and products containing CBD are illegal in the UAE.
